My husband eats cereal a bare minimum of once a day, often times twice a day.  He’d probably be happy to eat it for every meal but I can’t seem to buy enough of it to support his habits.  With his extreme consumption in mind, I like to buy natural and organic cereals as much as possible.

Nature’s Path is a company that is new to me, though they have been around since 1985.  I love the nuts and bolts description of the company, found on their website:

Our home office is located in Richmond. BC. This is where you’ll find our on-site organic garden, some really big compost bins, a rooftop garden, our rainwater harvesting system, and a lot of people munching on cereal all day long.

Nature’s Path sent me a generous box of products to try.  I am always aware of presentation and I was in no way disappointed by the box that my products arrived in.  The cardboard was decorated to look like a wooden crate with a lot of character.  Inside I found the following products:  EnviroKidz Leapin Lemurs Peanut Butter and Chocolate cereal, Crunchy Vanilla Sunrise gluten-free cereal, Love Crunch granola, Pumpkin-N-Spice Flax Plus granola bars, and Maple Nut Oatmeal.

The granola bars were undoubtedly my favorite; as someone who always seems to be running late in the morning, granola bars are my breakfast of choice.  I found them to be especially delicious – they tasted very healthy without being boring, and sweet in a way that didn’t seem artificial or over the top.  The pumpkin spice flavor was not very distinct to me, and I think that even people who are not that fond of pumpkin would enjoy these.  My second favorite was the Love Crunch granola, which I had inside of banana pancakes that my husband whipped up.  The crunch of the granola and the melted chocolate pieces made those some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had.

As for the cereals and oatmeal, my husband guzzled them down.  He especially enjoyed the Leapin Lemurs cereal and I do believe that he consumed the box in one sitting.  The only product that he wasn’t thrilled about was the Crunchy Vanilla Sunrise, which he found to be a little too bland.  This certainly didn’t prevent him from eating the whole box though.

In addition to cereal, oatmeal, and granola, Nature’s Path has an assortment of products that I am looking forward to trying in the future.  They also make toaster pastries, cookies, waffles, and baking mixes…. I’m getting hungry just thinking about them.

YOURS to WIN… your own assortment of delicious, organic,  Nature’s Path products!
